I know about Andy Carroll from his record as a player.

It's pretty shit really. Gets injured a lot. Doesnt score much. Had half a good season at Newcastle.

So you know everything about Andy Caroll?

the guy is made of glass, not his fault but I can't see him having any kind of longevity in the team.

The problem is: Carroll is "unique" about once every sixth months.

I'm the same size as Spud Webb, but I couldn't dunk a basketball.

Re: The Geordie's are plotting.?
Lot of experts on here who know nothing about Carroll.

He's a fucking cracking player, he is being nurtured back to the first team and has obviously been told to avoid the stupid challenges and injuries, so he can build up his strength again.

I'd hate to see us sell him, he is a bit unique.

Re: The Geordie's are plotting.?
You can have a big centre forward without having one you just pump the ball up to. Lukaku is only an inch shorter than Carroll but you couldn't put Carroll away like Everton did with lukaku on Saturday

Re: The Geordie's are plotting.?
1.Yes
2.Jan
3 £15m and 1p
4. Pelle. But that's not going to happen. So, whoever Bilic actually REALLY rates rather than just playing diplomatic lip service to. Part of me thinks his talking up of Carroll is to keep bids high.

I'd get shot of the geordie pub player at the earliest opportunity i.e. January if they want him and are prepared to hand over a few mill. I'd take anything north of £5mill.
I don't know who I'd get in to replace him as I'm not a professional football scout. Who the fuck had heard of Sakho on here before we signed him?

They are fuckin plotting global warming. Up here in a pub that smells of piss, and its fuckin warm. I'm walking around with a T shirt and the locals have got coats on. What's happening. Funny lot.

Re: The Geordie's are plotting.?
I think he's another injury away from being finished. If Newcastle need a home town signing for PR and willing to fork out I say sell.

Let Bilic spend it on someone he didn't inherit.

For what it's worth, I liked Carroll, so aggressive and strong but he's done, the injuries have taken their toll

I reckon we should go in for Berahino (sp). Fuck the Ys.

Re: The Geordie's are plotting.?
Carroll is a box striker.

We cannot really justify paying 90k p/w for a substitute.

Even if/when he's fit he doesn't suit our style of play as a starter.

Bony while a good option was bought at large expense by Man City. Furthermore he has a reputation deserved or otherwise for not being able to last a full 90 minutes stamina wise. Garry Monk used to sub him off after about 65 regularly...

Marston...

We need to set our sights higher...

Smith would have been a BFS second or third stringer...

Nowhere near our current squad...
